So-Safe Corps Nabs Suspected Burglars with Stolen Items in Idiroko

The Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps), has arrested two suspects for burglary and stealing in Idiroko, Ogun State.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the corps disclosed the arrest in a press statement released by the Commander of the Corps, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander of Corps, Moruf Yusuf.

According to Commander Ganzallo, officers and men of the agency at Idiroko Area Command, in conjunction with the Idiroko Division, while on routine patrol on May 7, 2025, at about 2:00 a.m., noticed suspicious movements by individuals in the Aferiku area of the community.

The Commander stated that suspicion arose due to the behaviour of the suspects—Daniel Olaitan Enitan (24) and Adetona Sodeeq (23)—who were carrying school bags believed to contain stolen items.

Due to this suspicion, the patrol team accosted the suspects who upon sighting the team, attempted to flee.

However, they were apprehended, and upon interrogation and search at the scene, it was discovered that their bags were filled with clothes, shoes, and various other items.

Ganzallo made it known that, after subsequent interrogation, the suspects confessed to breaking into five different shops previously before the one beside Ikolaje Primary School, along border road, Idiroko.

Furthermore, Ganzallo disclosed that several items were recovered from the suspects, including one power bank, one hammer, one singlet, two large school bags, two crossbody bags, one "3-in-1" boxer pack, six pairs of boxers, six polo shirts, four pairs of jeans trousers, three pairs of Crocs, and eight pairs of palm sandals.

Commander Ganzallo confirmed that the suspects and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Finally, Ganzallo reiterated that the So-Safe Corps will not relent in its commitment to community policing and its determination to rid every corner of Ogun State of criminal elements, regardless of their tactics.
