OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has announced that he has gained admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State, marking a major personal milestone and a response to long-standing criticism of his educational background.

OTN News further reports that Peller made the disclosure in a video shared on his social media platforms on Saturday, which has since gone viral.

In the clip, the influencer appeared visibly excited as he walked into a building with a statue of justice prominently displayed at the entrance, suggesting the start of his journey into the legal profession.

Although he confirmed securing admission into a private university in Lagos, Peller declined to reveal the name of the institution.

Reacting to years of online criticism over his level of education, the TikToker said his enrolment in a law programme represented a turning point in how he should be perceived.

“Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university. Now, all of you should leave social media, because I’m in school,” he said.

“I’m now studying law, you can see it, right? You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law,” he added.

OTN News recalls that Peller has often been the subject of social media ridicule, with some critics describing him as “lousy” and “uneducated” despite his popularity and influence on TikTok.

OTN News further recalls that earlier this month, the content creator had revealed plans to further his education, explaining that the decision was partly motivated by a desire to improve his spoken English, which he described as “bad.”

His admission announcement comes amid renewed public attention following a recent controversy involving the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria.

During the visit, Peller was reportedly prevented from meeting IShowSpeed by the streamer’s security team while he attempted to approach him for a possible collaboration. Despite several efforts, the Nigerian TikToker was turned away.

In another bid to attract the American streamer’s attention, Peller later rode on a horse while calling out to IShowSpeed, but appeared to be ignored again.

Following the incident, Peller accused members of the security team of demanding money before granting him access to the streamer.

“Bouncer dey tell me say make I bring N1 million to see IShowSpeed. Imagine. Na so e dey collect money from the remaining people. You wicked oh. Una do me strong thing. Make I bring N1m to see IShowSpeed for what reason?” he said.

Despite the controversy, Peller’s announcement of his admission into a law programme has been widely discussed online, with many supporters congratulating him and describing the move as a positive step towards personal development and growth.
