MAPOLY Art School Hosts Professional Arts Seminar Featuring Canadian University of Manitoba Faculty Member, Segun Olude

The Arts School, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria has announced its hosting of a professional seminar featuring Canadian University of Manitoba, Faculty member Segun Olude as part of efforts towards deepening frontiers of knowledge of students in the state-owned Nigerian Polytechnic.

As part of its town-meet-gown efforts targeted at expanding the frontiers of Arts and Designs discourse beyond the conventional classroom, facilitating the cross fertilization of ideas among creative artistes, the Department of Arts and Industrial Designs, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, also known as MAPOLY Art School is hosting a professional seminar featuring a seasoned designer, educator, storycrafter, Segun Olude, a faculty member, School of Art, University of Manitoba, Canada.

A statement made available to OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News by the Head of Department, Mr. Adesiji Oladunni has it that the Management of the front line state-owned Polytechnic, led by Dr Adeoye Odedeji, has graciously approved the hosting of the profession seminar to further deepen the knowledge of both students and staff on the History of Design, Principles as well as Contexts in line with the theme of the Professional Seminar billed to be hosted in partnership with Promiseland Professional Seminar Series.

The statement further reveals that the Arts Seminar holds on Thursday 3rd, October, 2024 at the School of Environmental Sciences (SENVS) Lecture Theatre of the Ojere campus of the Polytechnic from 9 am.

The statement further reveals that the Acting Director of the School of Environmental Sciences, Town Planner Arowosegbe is the Chief Host of the Professional Seminar while the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Adeoye Odedeji is the Chief Host.

Noting that "The study of design is basic to form and function in all aspects of utilitarianism, the MAPOLY Arts School extends its invitation to "Students of the Department of Mass Communication, Arts and Industrial Designs students as well as all enthusiasts of Arts" who are expected to participate in the professional seminar".
