Following the declaration of Tuesday, July 15 as a national public holiday to mourn former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday, the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), has rescheduled its much-anticipated One-Day Indigenous Knowledge Programme to July 22.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered from the organizers that the event themed “Tapping into Nature: Bamboo Wine and Aadun Production,” would now hold next week Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

While the organizers regrets any inconvenience the postponement of the programme may cause prospective participants, the venue remains the FUNAAB Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) Bamboo Groove, located behind the Health Centre.

Facilitated by indigenous knowledge expert, Prof. Samuel Oluwalana, the programme promises participants a practical and culturally enriching experience in bamboo-aged wine preparation and the hygienic production of Aadun, a traditional West African snack.

Members of the University Community are cordially invited to be part of this unique learning opportunity aimed at promoting safe, sustainable practices rooted in indigenous wisdom.
