ARMED FORCES REMEMBERANCE DAY 2026: OGUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR REPRESENTS GOVERNOR AT JUMAAT PRAYER

In a swift demonstration of her commitment to dedicating her life to the service of humanity, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, who had just celebrated her diamond jubilee birthday anniversary on Thursday was sighted attending to official duties on Friday.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered from a post on the official Facebook page of the Deputy Governor, Engr. Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele that she represented the Ogun state governor at the state event.
In the post, which was flooded by pictures taken during the Special Jumaat prayer to commemorate the Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2026, the Deputy Governor announced her participation in the event.
In her words, "I represented His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, at today’s Special Jummah Service held in commemoration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day."
She further revealed that the event was both solemn and reflectuve, saying, "It was a solemn moment of reflection and prayer for our fallen heroes, our serving officers, and the families they left behind. We honoured their sacrifice and reaffirmed our collective duty to promote peace, unity, and security across our nation."
"May Almighty Allah forgive our fallen heroes, protect our Armed Forces, and grant Nigeria enduring peace", the Deputy Governor prayed.
The Jumaat prayer attracted heads of various units in the Nigerian Armed Forces and legionaires as well as Paramilitary formations
Also present at the Jumaat prayer were: the Chief of Staff, Dr.Oluwatoyin Taiwo and the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya as well as top public servants in the state among whom was the Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Arc. Dr. Babatunde Koye Jolaoso.
