We Can't Be Silenced Says Labour, Confirms Release of Arrested NLC President
The Nigeria Labour Congress has officially confirmed the release of the NLC President Joe Ajaero from the detention of State Security Services, noting that the union cannot be silenced.

The Nigeria Labour Congress has officially confirmed the release of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero who was earlier reportedly arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday morning.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News recalls that labour leader was arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as he was on his way to travel out of the country for an international labour event.
OTN News gathered from the official X handle of the union that Ajaero was released on bail facilitated by his lawyer from the Femi Falana Chamber.
The Labour Congress had earlier on Monday confirmed the arrest of the labour leader as the union, in a post on its official X handle sighted by OTN News on Monday afternoon has demanded the release of their President before 12 am midnight in addition to reversal of fuel price hike, immediate Implementation of the new minimum wage and the increase in electricity Tariffs.

1. We Demand The Immediate and Unconditional Release Of NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero.
2. Immediate Implementation of the New National Minimum Wage
3. Immediate Reversal of The Price of Petrol
4. Reversal of Illegal Hike in Electricity Tariffs.
OTN News reports that following the release of the NLC President on Bail, the Congress has promised to resume a NEC meeting of the union by 9 am Tuesday to decide the next move of the Congress which had earlier put its affiliates on red alert.
