One Year Remembrance of Agura of Gbagura: Watch How Olori Omobolanle Alake Bakre Led Agura Royal Princes to Play Golf, Plant Tree at Abeokuta Golf Club

No fewer than two hundred golfers across the country convened on Abeokuta Golf Club, Okemosan, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria to participate in the Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre Golf Tournament 2024.

The Queen of Agura land, Olori Omobolanle Alake Bakre, led some princes of Agura kingdom to the tournament where the royal family played golf and participated in the tree planting in honour of the late monarch.

Open Television Naija recalls that the late monarch was actively involved in golfing activities till he joined his ancestors on June 14, 2023.

Considering the tremendous contributions of the late first class Yoruba king to the development of golf in Nigeria during his lifetime, the Abeojuta Golf Club floated the Golf Tournament in his honour.

Earlier on Friday night, a Special Cocktail and Tributes night held at Abeokuta Golf Club with the unveiling of a Golf Pavilion in honour of the late king.
