Military Announces General As New Leader of Junta in Guinea-Bissau

The military in the West African coastal state of Guinea-Bissau has on Thursday announced that it had installed General Horta Inta-A as the new leader of the Military government in the country.
Monitored reports by OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News from the State broadcaster, TGB, have it that the new Military ruler, General Horta Inta-A will serve as transitional president for a one-year period.
Although the country is currently engulfed in tensions and political uncertainty following the alleged coup d'etat, which occurred some days after the presidential elections marred by political violence.
