Ogun SWAN Congratulates NSC DG, MAPOLY Radio GM, Seyi Johnson, Akintunde, Others on National Awards

ABUJA – The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter, has congratulated the Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade the President, Wheelchair Basketball Federation, Mr. Seyi Johnson, former SWAN Chairman in Ogun state, Alhaji Hakeem Akintunde, and the piobeer General Manager of MAPOLY Radio Abeokuta, Deacon Kunle Oluwusi on their well-deserved national awards from the SWAN National body.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the congratulatory message was made public via a statement issued in Abuja by the Ogun SWAN Chairman, who doubles as the Chairman, Planning Committee, Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, the chapter praised the NSC DG for his visionary leadership and commitment to providing an enabling environment for sports to thrive across the nation.
OTN News recalls that the SWAN at 60 awards were in recognition of the recipients’ outstanding contributions and dedication to the development and promotion of sports in Nigeria instituted as part of activities marking six decades of SWAN’s contribution to sports journalism and development, celebrated notable Nigerians who have played key roles in advancing the nation’sOlopade was honored with the Distinguished Service Awards (SDSA) award in recognition of his unwavering partnership and contribution to sports media development.
Seyi Johnson, the CEO of Brussel Sports Management, shared the spotlight with his boss, Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission, who was also celebrated for his visionary leadership and efforts in transforming Nigeria’s sports administration.
”We are immensely proud of the Director-General’s recognition. His commitment to grassroots development and the upliftment of our national teams is evident for all to see. This award is a clear validation of his tireless efforts,” the Ogunsiji stated.
