Prepare for price hike on beers, Nigeria Breweries

The Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced an upward review of prices for its Stock-Keeping Units(STUs) effective from 19th February, 2024.

The price review was officially announced in a letter dated February 12, 2024 with the title: Price Review Notification released from the office of the Zonal Business Manager, West, Lekan Awosanya.

The letter reads in part:

"This is to inform you that we are constrained to review the prices of some of our SKUs effective from Monday 19th February, 2024. This review has become necessary in view of the rising inputs costs and the need to mitigate the impact.

The letter further reads:

"In appreciation of your great partnership and commitment, we will deliver at the current prices all open orders that are fully funded and created in our system before 00.00 hours on Monday 19th February, 2024.

"While thanking you for your commitment to our great partnership, be rest assured that we will continue to support your sales/distribution efforts as always. For further clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact your Regional Business Manager" the upward price review letter reads. 

By this development, beer drinkers in Nigeria will have to pay more to enjoy their favourite brands of beers from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc.
