Ogun Police Begins Manhunt For Killers Of APC Councillorship Candidate, Adeleke Adeyinka, Releases Body To Family

The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the killers of an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Adeleke Adeyinka who was greuesomely murdered ahead of the November 16 local Government elections.
Adeyinka, who was vying for the councillorship seat of Ward 15 in Abeokuta South Local Government Area, was brutally murdered by suspected cultists early Saturday morning.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News has earlier reported that the attackers arrived in an unmarked vehicle, shot Adeyinka at close range, and then crushed his head with stones to ensure he was dead before fleeing the scene.
The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations have begun to track down the culprits.
“Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects,” Odutola said.
She added that Adeyinka’s body has been released to his family, as police continue to pursue leads to bring the perpetrators to justice.
