Obasanjo, Ooni of Ife, King Sunny Ade, Other Dignitaries Grace Chivido Wedding As Davido Reveals N1.9b Chioma's Wedding Ring

The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo(GCFR) and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, were among the prominent figures who attended the wedding of music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido and his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland.

OPEN TELEVISION Naija reports that the event, known as "CHIVIDO2024," is currently trending across Africa and has attracted celebrities, politicians, and dignitaries from across the country and beyond. 

OPEN TELEVISION Naija further gathered that Davido, officially disclosed that his wife, Chioma’s engagement ring costs a whopping N1.9bn, valued at more than the combined cost of two or three Rolls Royce cars. 

Obasanjo, a respected elder statesman and influential figure in Nigerian politics, was among the first high-profile guests to arrive at the event, adding significant colour and grandeur to wedding which many people have described as the African wedding of the new millennium. 

Also in attendance was the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, (Ojaja 2) who, dressed in white attire and his beaded crown, was seen greeting fellow dignitaries at the venue.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Governor, Davido's uncle, was also present, bringing a sense of familial pride and political significance to the occasion. 

Davido, an internationally acclaimed artiste with numerous hits and awards, with his heartthrob, Chioma, a renowned chef and media personality, have been in the public eye for years.

OPEN TELEVISION Naija recalls that Davido and Chioma’s relationship was characterized by love and resilience which has captivated many, making their union an highly anticipated milestone.  

Following the announcement of their wedding as a strictly by-invitation event, an exclusive list of celebrity attendees has been confirmed through pictures and videos shared on social media by the stars themselves.

As at the time of filing this report, the #CHIVIDO2024 topical hashtag currently leads the top 5 trends on x Twitter, with a whopping 234.7k Tweets, followed by #Davido on number 2 with close to 10k Tweets.
