New Year Message: "We Have a Country to Run, Many Big Problems Created By Democrats to Solve" Says Donald Trump on New Year Eve

The President-Elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump has thrown New Year jibes at Democrats, as he called upon Republicans to "Be smart and tough!!!".
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Trump, who is billed to be officially returned to the White House on January 20th as the 45th President of the US, threw the jibes at his perceived political enemies on Tuesday penultimate the new year 2025.
In his words, "We have a Country to run, and many big problems to solve, mostly created by Democrats. REPUBLICANS, BE SMART AND TOUGH!!!” Trump wrote on Tuesday.
OTN News further reports as gathered that Trump decided to use the finals hours of 2024 to lash out at the lawmakers he previously deemed “the enemy within” in a classically Trumpian rant.
According to Trump, "We just won a Historic Landslide and Mandate from the American People, but Senate Democrats are organizing to improperly stall and delay the confirmation process of many of our Great Nominees,” he wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday.
He further wrote that “They will try all sorts of tricks starting very soon. Republicans must not allow them to do that.”
OTN News recalls that Trump’s victory was indeed decisive, with Republicans claiming all three branches of government and a historic win since a convicted felon had never won a presidential election.
OTN News further recalls that the victory was not exactly a complete landslide as Trump won 312 votes in the Electoral College, which is just six more than President Joe Biden won in 2020. He only won the popular vote by 1.5 percent compared to Biden’s 4.5 percent in 2020.
However, given the statutory constitutional duty of Senate to give advice and consent on Cabinet nominees and other high-level government appointments, some of Trump’s picks have been so controversial that members of his own party are skeptical about some of the choices.
Trump's latest reactionary rant on the eve of the new year may not be unconnected with some of his controversial nominees like Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, whom Trump has tapped to oversee national intelligence, Kash Patel, his nominee fingered to lead the FBI, and Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for defense secretary, who all reportedly face an uphill battle thanks to some GOP senators’ resisrence.
In all, Trump's latest ramt was targeted at both internal and external perceived enemies.
and many big problems to solve, mostly created by Democrats. REPUBLICANS, BE SMART AND TOUGH!!!” Trump wrote on Tuesday.
