New Year Broadcast:"Your Sacrifices Will Not Be in Vain" Tinubu Tells Nigerians, Says 2025 Will Be A Year of Great Promise

Nigeria's President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the new year 2025 will usher in renewed hope, and the much desired economic turnaround, admitting that the sacrifices made by Nigerian in the past 19 months of his administration, will give birth to achievement of the country's collection aspiration.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN News reports that the Nigerian President disclosed this during his early morning New Year Broadcast on Wednesday.
Tinubu, who acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerians during the outgone year 2024, expressed optimism about the new year.
According to the President of the populous African country, " By the grace of God, 2025 will be a year of great promise in which we will fulfill our collective desires" noting that .“Your sacrifices have not been in vain over the past 19 months and will not be in vain in the months ahead."
In his brief national broadcast, Tinubu highlighted some significant achievements made by his government in 2024, to include:reduction in the price of fuel, a stronger naira, foreign trade surpluses for three consecutive quarters, a rise in foreign reserves, as major economic indicators, maintaining that these are sure signs of progress made in 2024 that will be consolidated in the new year 2025.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to ignore side distractions that are capable of undermining the nation’s growth and development, calling on Nigerians to be patriotic in their dealings while prioritizing national allegiance over personal self interests.
In his words, " “To achieve our national goals and objectives, we must become better citizens and uncompromising in our devotion and allegiance to Nigeria."
He also emphasized the country, under his leadership is "on the right path to building a great Nigeria that will work for everyone. Let us not get distracted by a tiny segment of our population that still sees things through the prisms of politics, ethnicity, region and religion".
He further revealed that policies of his administration rolled out in the year 2024 are far-reaching and foundational reforms capable of producing the desired outcomes only through shared common values and identities, and unconditional love for our country."
He made passionate plea for cooperation of Nigerians for his administration's reforms saying, "On a personal note, thank you for placing your confidence in me as your president. Your trust humbles me, and I promise to continue serving you diligently and wholeheartedly.
“We will continue to embark on necessary reforms to foster sustainable growth and prosperity for our nation.
“I seek your cooperation and collaboration at all times as we pursue our goal of a one trillion-dollar economy. Let us stay focused and united.', the Nigerian President pled.
