"Lagos is Not Just a City; It is An Energy, a Movement", Says Sanwo-Olu, Welcomes Lagosians to 2025

Lagos State Governor, Mr.Babajide Sanwo-Olu has affirmed that Lagos is not just a city but an energy and a movement, calling on Lagosians to team up with the state towards achieving the greater Lagos dream.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the governor of the aquatic state, dubbed Nigeria's Centre of Excellence made this known during his new year message posted on his official x handle, @jidesanwoolu around 44 minutes past 12 am on January 1st, 2025.
In his words, "As we step into 2025, I celebrate the resilience, innovation, and unity that defined our journey through 2024. Together, we navigated challenges, achieved historic milestones, and set new benchmarks for excellence in governance, infrastructure, and social development."
Sanwo-Olu who rolled out the achievements if the state in 2024 remarked that "In 2024, Lagos rose to new heights—launching transformative projects like the Red Line Rail, expanding our Blue Line operations, and delivering groundbreaking initiatives in health, education, and youth empowerment. We became a beacon for progress and an example of what’s possible when leadership and people align."
The governor further said, "This year, our vision remains clear: to build a Greater Lagos that works for all. We will focus on sustainable infrastructure, drive economic growth, and deepen community impact through innovative programs. The future of Lagos is bold, inclusive, and limitless.
Going philosophical about the prime position and the multi-facetedness of the state Sanwo-Olu revealed that "Lagos is not just a city; it is an energy, a movement, and a promise" adding that "In 2025, we will continue to lead, inspire, and deliver on the trust you have placed in us.
Sanwo-Olu thereafter appealed to Lagosians to cooperate with the government to move the state to its dream next level in the new year.
Ending the post with "Happy New Year"', Sanwo-Olu said, "Together, we will write the next great chapter of our story".
In all, the Lagos governor has described year 2025 as "A Year to Dream Big, Work Hard and Achieve More!"
