Madariola Becomes Second Female Bursar at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has appointed Mrs. Folasade Ajewole Madariola, as the Polytechnic Bursar, making her the second woman to hold the position in the history of the front line, state-owned tertiary Institution.

For the second time in the history of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, the Governing Council of the state-owned Polytechnic has appointed a woman, Mrs. Folasade Ajewole Madariola, as the Polytechnic Bursar.

A press release by the Head, Public Relations and Protocols of the institution sighted by OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News confirmed the appointment of Mrs. Folasade Ajewole Madariola, FCA as the 8th Bursar of the Polytechnic.
The Press Release has it that the appointment of the new Bursar was conveyed in a letter signed by the institution's Governing Council Chairman, Emeritus Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun.
The release further states that the appointment of Mrs. Madariola takes effect from Tuesday, 10th September, 2024 for a single non-renewable term of five years.
OTN News gathered that Mrs. Madariola became the 2nd Female and 8th Bursar of the Polytechnic after the expiration of the tenure of the erstwhile Bursar, Mr. Fatai Yekini, FCA on Monday, 9th September 2024.
Profiling the career trajectory of the new Polytechnic Bursar, Mr Ajibola revealed that "She joined the service of the Polytechnic as an Accountant II in 1999 and rose through the ranks to become a Chief Accountant in the Bursary, a post she held since 2017, until her present appointment.
Madariola, an Alumna of Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta) from the Department of Accountancy is also a First Class graduate (B.Sc Accounting) of Crescent University.
She attended Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State for a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, MBA (specialization in finance).
She is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountant (FCA), an Associate, Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT) and a Member, of Women in Technical Education (WITED).
She has to her credits, five academic/scholarly publications with several conference papers.
Mr. Ajibola further revealed that the Rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji in the presence of the Deputy Rector, Dr. (Mrs.) Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda has on Tuesday presented the appointment letter to the new Polytechnic Bursar on behalf of the Governing Council, congratulated her and also wished her a successful tenure.
