MAPOLY Appoints Officers on NERD, Sets Modus Operandi

In line with the Federal Government’s directive on the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD), Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has appointed three (3) Schedule Officers to oversee the implementation of the initiative.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News recalls that the NERD system serves as the official databank of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the education sector, designed to aggregate, preserve, share, and process knowledge resources.
A press statement by the Head, Public Relations & Protocol of the institution, Mr.Yemi Ajibola revealed that the Rector, Arc. Dr. ‘Koye Jolaoso, during the inauguration of the Officers, charged them to be pragmatic by embracing the “C” values of Cooperation, Collaboration, and Communication in order to achieve the objectives of the initiative.
Dr. Jolaoso announced the appointment of Dr. Babayemi Karunwi as the Focal Officer, Mrs. Omolara Atologun as the Records Officer, and Mr. Armiyau Raji as the Digitisation Officer for NERD.
The Rector who commended the reports on their antecedent efforts, emphasized timeliness and result-oriented actions as the bedrock of success.
He further enjoined all relevant sectors within the Polytechnic to support the appointed Officers with commitment and enthusiasm towards realizing the goals of the NERD project for the advancement of the institution and the national education system.
The NERD platform hosts full-text registers of academic manuscripts, such as theses, dissertations, project reports, SIWES reports, and journal publications, as well as other educational documents from universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other post-secondary and tertiary institutions (both public and private) across Nigeria.
