Lagosians Commend Sanwo-Olu As Lagos Leads in Pension Benefits Administration in Nigeria

As the saying goes that all is well that ends well, the year 2024 is ending on a pleasant note for pensioners in the state, as Lagos State Governor, Mr.Babajide Sanwo-Olu is being commended by Lagosians for the top ranking of the state in the pension benefit administration in Nigeria.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports reflecting on the giant strides of the aquatic state and Nigeria's Centre of Excellence, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed that, "As we come to the close of 2024, I am proud to reflect on the remarkable progress we have made in building a Greater Lagos".
The governor revealed that, "This year, we honoured 6,023 retirees, ensuring they received the care and support they deserve."
Sanwo-Olu further revealed that, "A total of ₦14,908,672,919.19 was disbursed to our retirees, improving the welfare of our pensioners and showing our commitment to their well-being".
Determined to sustain the tempo, the governor sued for more cooperation of Lagosians, saying, "Together, we can build on this, while ensuring that Lagos remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations to come."
Concluding, Sanwo-olu appreciated the entirety of the Lagos workforce saying, "Thank you all for your continued support and dedication to our shared vision for a Greater Lagos".
OTN News recalls that earlier in December, no fewer than 488 retirees of the Lagos vState Civil Service will be paid a total N1.007 billion, the Director-General, Lagos State Pension Commission.
As made public by the Director-General, Lagos State Pension Commission, Mr.Babalola Obilana, represents their accrued rights before the 2007 implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
