Kehinde Kolawole Sworn In As New President Ẹgbẹ Ọmọ Yoruba Greater New York
New York based Yoruba socio-cultural group, Egbe Omo Yoruba Greater New York has sworn-in a former NULGE Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government in Ogun state as its new President alongside other executive members to manage the affairs of the cultural group.

A Diaspora socio-cultural group based in the United States of America, Egbe Omo Yoruba Greater New York has sworn-in a former NULGE Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State, between 2002-2008, Mr Kehinde Kolawole as its new President.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Mr.Kehinde Kolawole, who is fondly referred to as K. K.Joel in social circles, was elected as the President (Aare) Ẹgbẹ Ọmọ Yoruba Greater NY in a free and fair election of the socio-cultural group.
OTN News further reports that the new Executive members of the Yoruba Diaspora-based group were sworn in on October 26th, 2024 in New York.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Kehinde Kolawole emphasized the need for all Yorubas in NY and across the world to come together for the progress and development of the Yoruba race.
He buttressed the importance of having a good legacy for the coming generation as the new Exco announced its dream to establish a Yoruba Youth Group in NY to allow for the passing of the Yoruba culture and value to younger generations of Yoruba children in NY.
Furthermore, the new President announced that he solicits the support of all Yoruba in NY and all over the world to enable the Yoruba to have their presence felt differently in NY State by having a Yoruba House “Ile Imọ" that will serve as an abode to promote Yoruna culture, tradition, and value in NY and the entire USA.
The new Executive members that were sworn in include the Vice President of the group, Mrs. Subomi Macauly, the General Secretary, Mrs Fumi Kuyoro, alongside Mrs. Folake Akinwunmi, the Social Secretary, Mrs. Sade Ade and Mr.Lekan Egbeneye.
