I Was Offered N5 Billion Bribe For Impeachment Plot Against Fubara, I Have Concrete Evidence Stored on My Phone – Chief Of Staff Ehie

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News recalls that the controversy going on Rivers State has taken a new dimension as Edison Ehie, Chief of Staff to suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has alleged that he was offered a N5 billion bribe to orchestrate the governor’s impeachment, adding that he has concrete evidence to back his claims stored on his mobile phone.
OTN News further reports that the chief of staff who disclosed this while speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics,’ further revealed that he has printed and distributed copies of the evidence as a safeguard against any potential attack on him.
According to him, “I can also open my phone to show you. In the beginning of October 2023, they approached me with a bribe of N5 billion. It is here in my phone,”
“It was for impeachment. It’s here. I have it, and I have printed it and distributed it, in case, in their evil imagination, they decide to attack me. I already have a son and a brother,” he added.
Furthermore, Ehie disclosed that the alleged bribe attempt occurred while he was serving as the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
OTN News recalls that the political crisis in Rivers State, which culminated in the declaration of a state of emergency on March 18, stems from the ongoing power struggle between FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
