Governor’s Adviser Arrested By EFCC for Allegedly Filming Secret Sex Acts

The Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona, has been arrested by the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged involvement in sextortion, cyber bullying, and blackmail.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that Aondona was picked up on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi following a series of complaints from female students who accused him of sexual exploitation and digital harassment.
According to the petitioners, the governor’s aide allegedly exploited his office by recruiting young, slim, and attractive girls for ushering jobs on the condition that they submit to sexual advances.
Many of the victims claimed that after being coerced into intimate encounters, they later discovered that the acts had been secretly recorded without their consent.
The suspect was said to have used the recorded content to blackmail the victims into further sexual acts, threatening to leak the videos if they refused to comply. Some of the explicit clips are reportedly already circulating on social media and private messaging platforms.
The EFCC confirmed that the suspect is in custody and will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
