"Go and Sin No More," CAC Tells Prosperity Preacher Pastor Fatoyinbo After Controversial Remarks Against Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola

By: Olufemi Orunsola

Following a viral video of Abuja-based Nigerian Pastor of the COZA fame, in which he described the founder of Christ Apostolic Church,(CAC), Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola as having had "Heavy Duty Anointing But No Money....", to show for it, the prosperity preacher has been admonished to go and sin no more.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the admonition to go and sin no more was given to the billionaire Pastor in a post sighted on the official x (formerly Twitter) handle of the Christ Apostolic Church @ CACWORLDNEWS at exactly 6:47 am on Saturday 16th August, 2025.

OTN News further reports that although the link to the post appears broken and inaccessible, as at the time of filing this report, the point of the sobering admonition is unmistakable.

Earlier, the first daughter of the late CAC founder, Mama Eunice Wuraola Ogini had in an equally firm but sobering video posted on the X handle of the church responded to the controversial statements and tirades of Pastor Fatoyinbo against the late church founder and the baseless allegation that the children of the Apostle will hate God given the fact that there late father had no money to show for his heavy duty anointing.

In the video targeted at setting the records straight, the aged daughter of Apostle Babalola had calmly but firmly warned the young Nigerian prosperity preacher that her own late father in his lifetime had "preached Christ and Christ only."

According to her, "His emphasis was on repentance from sin, serving the Lord and worshipping the living God".

"I want to state clearly that we his children followed his footsteps. Myself and my sisters, we worship the Lord. We love God and we serve God".

Explaining that although her own father was not materialistic like the modern day prosperity preachers, he was quite comfortable and philantropic, having shouldered the responsibility for the daily feeding of about 50 people in his house for years and also catered for the education of many people.

She maintained that she is a prayer warrior and a Sunday school teacher" while her sister, Dame Deborah Apeke Adeniyi also serves God in her church is also a prayer warrior and an evangelist who had been honoured with the Knighthood of globally renowned Methodist preacher, John Wesley.

She therefore appealed that when people mention her father's name during their preaching, they should be sincere and speak nothing but the truth with love and genuine and great respect".

She counselled that Christian ministers should honour the Lord when they are on their pulpit and always ensure they verify every information in order to avoid lies and speculations.

She concluded her admonition by telling church Ministers to "Please remember the advice of Apostle Paul in the book of Colossians chapter 4 verse 6 where we believers are advised that our speech should be gracious and seasoned with salt."

The controversial statement made about the C.A.C founder by pastor Fatoyinbo has attracted many backlashes among Nigerians leading the young pastor to issue an apology that still did not sit well with many people.

OTN News observes the development draws significant national attention to the pulpit idiosyncrasies of many Nigerian pastors, especially those in the pentecostal category and their prioritisation of financial prosperity above what many fathers of the Christian faith consider as the real substance and essence of faith.
