FG, States, LGs Share N1.818trn Revenue for June 2025

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC ) has distributed a total of N1.818 trillion among the Federal Government, 36 states, and the 774 Local Government Councils for June 2025.

This was disclosed in a communiqué issued after the FAAC meeting held over the last weekend in Abuja.

The statement, as released by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, 

Bawa Mokwa presents the following breakdown of June Revenue:

A total of N1.818 trillion shared revenue covers:

• Statutory Revenue: N1.018 trillion

• Value Added Tax (VAT): N631.507 billion

• Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N29.165 billion

• Exchange Rate Difference: N38.849 billion

• Non-Mineral Revenue Augmentation: N100 billion

Although gross revenue for June stood at N4.232 trillion, the following deductions were made before distribution:

• Cost of Collection: N162.786 billion

• Transfers, Interventions, Refunds & Savings: N2.251 trillion

Gross statutory revenue increased significantly to N3.485 trillion in June, up from N2.094 trillion in May—an N1.39 trillion rise. However, VAT revenue declined to N678.165 billion, down from N742.820 billion in May.

Allocation Summary From the N1.818 trillion distributable revenue:

• Federal Government: N645.383 billion

• State Governments: N607.417 billion

• Local Governments: N444.853 billion

• 13% Derivation to Oil-Producing States: N120.759 billion

Statutory Revenue (N1.018 trillion):

• FG: N474.455 billion

• States: N240.650 billion

• LGs: N185.531 billion

• 13% Derivation: N118.256 billion

VAT (N631.507 billion):

• FG: N94.726 billion

• States: N315.754 billion

• LGs: N221.027 billion

EMTL (N29.165 billion):

• FG: N4.375 billion

• States: N14.582 billion

• LGs: N10.208 billion

Exchange Rate Difference (N38.849 billion):

• FG: N19.147 billion

• States: N9.712 billion

• LGs: N7.487 billion

• 13% Derivation: N2.503 billion

Non-Mineral Revenue Augmentation (N100 billion):

• FG: N52.680 billion

• States: N26.720 billion

• LGs: N20.600 billion

On the whole, FAAC observed a significant increase in Companies Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and EMTL collections in June. However, revenues from Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, Import and Excise Duties, and CET Levies recorded notable declines.
