The Presidential Special Adviser debunked the wildly circulating via a post on his verified X Twitter handle @aonanuga1956 on Thursday evening at exactly 5:20 p.m.
The post reads in part:
"The Honourable Minister of Finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Wale Edun has not proposed N105,000 minimum wage."
"The contrary story being disseminated is false" he revealed.
Open Television Naija reports that as at the time of filing this report, there is no official response or reactions from the quarters of the organized labour on the development, as the latest reaction on the official X Twitter handle of the Nigeria Labour Congress Headquarters is a post that takes a swipe at the swift approval of the bill for 300 per cent increase in the salaries of judicial officials in the country.
"See the speed of approval, Why not use the same speed for Nigeria workers??" Labour querries, adding that
"The last minimum wage Act has expired since April.
Open Television Naija remains committed to ensuring that further developments on the new minimum wage are disseminated as soon as they are verified and authenticated by relevant stakeholders.
