BREAKING: Ex-Anambra Governor Ngige Not Kidnapped, Spends Night in EFCC Custody

Insinuations that a former Anambra State governor, Chris Ngige, was kidnapped has been dispelled as his media aide confirmed that he was arrested in Abuja on Wednesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that Ngige, who is also the immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, has had to spend the night in the custody of the anti-graft agency and as at press time, is still in the custody of thr Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
A statement released on Wednesday night, and signed by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe, confirmed this development.
In the statement, Chukwulobe categorically dispelled rumours that Ngige had been kidnapped.
The tarse statement reads, “Former governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”
OTN News recalls that Ngige recently made the news headlines after his convoy was attacked by some gunmen in Anambra State, but he was not in the vehicle when the gunmen attacked his convoy.
