"Your Achievements in 30 Days are Significant", Ogun Education Commissioner Lauds  MAPOLY Rector, Calls for Cooperation of All Stakeholders

The Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has congratulated the Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Arc. Dr. 'Koye Jolaoso as the first Alumnus of the Institution to mount the position, commending him for his achievements within first 30 days in office.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered from a press statement released by the Head, Public Relations Unit of the Polytechnic, Mr Yemi Ajibola that Prof. Arigbabu gave the commendation during a courtesy visit of the Management of the Polytechnic to his office at Oke-mosan, where he stated that the newly appointed Rector of the 45-year old state-owned Polytechnic, Arc. Jolaoso possesses the goodwill to make positive changes in his alma mater by hitting the ground running with laudable feats within 30 days.

The Commissioner said, "you have what we call 30-60-90 days action plans with strategic demonstration and delivery", adding that "as an alumnus, I'm sure you will be determined to make the Institution better than it was when you were a student, better than it was when you started as a Staff and better than it is now as you assumed office".

Earlier, while briefing the host of his achievements in 30 days, Dr. Jolaoso disclosed that the public power supply, which had been long grounded, has been fixed to the full benefits of the Polytechnic. 

He also revealed that the restoration of light has enabled seamless flowing of water across strategic locations in the Polytechnic, adding that the Management has completed full installation of solar power facilities from the school gate to the Administrative Building in its operation "Light Up MAPOLY".

Dr. Jolaoso reiterated his optimism to attract investors with the provisions of fundamental yardsticks and enabling environment for development.

Meanwhile, the Honourable Commissioner, using the Chairman, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), MAPOLY Charter, Comrade Tunde Abiodun, who was present at the meeting, as a reference point on the need for all staff, staff unions and students to cooperate with the new Rector of the Polytechnic to change the narratives of the 45-year old institution for the better

Also present at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Mariam Oloko alongside other Directors in the Ministry, the Deputy Rector, Dr Mrs Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda: the Registrar, Mrs Olubunmi Elewodalu; the Polytechnic Librarian, Mrs. Basirat Akintunde and the Bursar, Mrs. Folasade Madariola FCA.
