OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has admitted he could not watch the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations because he was scared of developing high blood pressure.
OTN News further reports that the president revealed this while hosting the Super Falcons at Aso Villa on earlier this week.
According to him, “Honestly, I did not want to watch the match. I didn’t want high blood pressure.
“But people came into my room and turned on my TV to that channel. When it was 2-0, I got very restless and very offended. But I was still there watching.
“I was impressed by the indomitable spirit of resilience, determination and courage of the team,” he said.
OTN News had earlier reported that Nigeria came back from two goals down to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the final played on Sunday in Rabat.
