Triple Joys for Dapo Abiodun As Presidency Felicitates Him on 65th Birthday, 6th Anniversary in Office, Successful Hosting of Gateway Games 2024

Today, May 29 will go down in history as a day of multiple joys for Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun as he basks in the euphoria of encomiums pouring to him from the Presidency and all quarters, on the occasion of his 65th Birthday, his 6th year in office and his successful hosting of the National Sports Festival code named, Gateway Games 2024.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has led the galaxy of prominent Nigerians who have thought it prudent felicitate the Ogun state governor on his 65th birthday, the 6th anniversary of his administration and the unprecedented superlative hosting of the Games, fir which the closing ceremony holds, perhaps, coincidentally on May 29.

OTN News further reports that President Tinubu in a tribute issued yesterday, commended Governor who is the Chairman of South West Governors Forum, noting that Abiodun’s exemplary leadership in Ogun State and described his six-year tenure as a model of progress, defined by remarkable strides in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, food security, and social development.

Tinubu further noted that through transparent and inclusive governance, Ogun State, under Abiodun’s watch, has emerged as a beacon of stability and innovation, a leading destination for investment, and a state with steadily growing internal revenue.

“Your unwavering commitment to public service and the advancement of our great nation remains a pillar of strength in our collective pursuit of national renewal and prosperity,” the President said in his tribute.

President Tinubu also praised Governor Abiodun’s impactful leadership at the regional level through his chairmanship of the Southern Governors’ Forum, highlighting his contributions to fostering unity, dialogue, and regional development.

“As you mark this dual milestone, I join your family, associates, and the good people of Ogun State in honouring your achievements and legacy of service. May the years ahead bring continued health, joy, and enduring peace,” the President further stated.

OTN News observes that if any equipment or tool for measuring the degree of joy, happiness, and fulfilment of a mortal is administered on Prince Dapo Abiodun at any point within the last 11 days when he personally masterminded the staging of an unprecedented and colourfully impressive opening ceremony for the 22nd National Sports Festival, the Ogun state Governor may most likely exceed the scales given his joyful carriage, visage and contagious happiness.

OTN News further observes that just like Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the former Ogun State Governor who hosted the National Sports Festival in 2006, when the opening ceremony held on the Birthday, the closing ceremony of Gateway Games 2024 also holds on the occasion of the Governor's Birthday.
