“The Person Who Made Hilda's Pot Should be Arrested For Disappointing Her" Delta Gov's Aide Reacts After Pot Breaks During Jollof Attempt

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that shortly after a light-hearted drama trailed popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, after her cooking pot reportedly broke during her much-publicised Jollof rice preparation, the Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has suggested that whoever manufactured the pot should be held responsible for failing the celebrity chef at a crucial moment.
OTN News further reports that the SA, who took to his Facebook page to express his disappointment in the development, said that while Nigerians had expected Hilda to break a Guinness World Record, it was ironically her cooking pot that gave way.
According to him, “I am disappointed in Hilda Baci’s pot of Jollof rice. Instead of her breaking the record, she’s ended up breaking the pot. All break na break."
OTN News observes that the aide went further in jest, saying “the person who made the pot should be arrested for disappointing Hilda. Now her chances of getting Guinness World Records is shaking."
The post has since generated mixed reactions from social media users, with many joining Ossai in making jokes about the broken pot, while others defended Hilda’s resilience and focus on her craft.
OTN News recalls that Hilda Baci, who gained international recognition in 2023 for setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has remained a household name in Nigeria’s culinary and entertainment space.
Her latest attempt, despite the pot mishap, continues to attract widespread attention and support from fans nationwide.
