Taye Currency Apologizes to Pasuma, Fans Over Misinterpreted Comment

Fuji musician, Taye Currency, has issued a public apology to his senior colleague, Pasuma, after facing backlashes over a recent comment made during a performance.

As gathered by OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News, the apology comes after days of backlashes on social media, where fans criticized Taye Currency’s remarks, prompting him to reassure everyone of the harmonious relationship between him and Pasuma.

Taye Currency sparked controversy by referring to Pasuma as an elder brother rather than a father in the Fuji music industry, which some fans and observers took as a slight.

In response to the criticism, Taye Currency released a video to clarify his statement, expressing regret for any misunderstanding.

He emphasized his deep respect and loyalty to Pasuma, acknowledging the veteran’s significant influence on his career.

"Some people misunderstood my words as disrespect, but I never intended it that way," Taye Currency said in the video.

"Pasuma is my boss—Arabanbi, Apesin, Oganla Fuji. We are united, and I apologize if my words offended him or his fans."

"I remain loyal to Alhaji Alabi Pasuma and hope this clears the air," he added.

The Fuji star further appealed to both Pasuma’s and his own supporters, urging them not to interpret the situation as a rift.
