President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signaled his intention to reorganize his cabinet, emphasizing the need for greater public communication from his ministers.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the Presidency disclosed this during a press briefing at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, noted that, while significant work is being done, many Nigerians remain unaware of these efforts.
“The President has made it clear that he plans to reshuffle his cabinet. While there’s no confirmed date, it could happen before October 1, though no specific timeline has been given,” Onanuga said.
Regarding the administration's performance, OTN News reports as Onanuga highlighted that President Tinubu has instructed all ministers to engage more actively with the media.
He noted that many have been hesitant to speak publicly about their ministries' achievements, leading to the perception that the Government is not doing enough.
“The President wants his ministers to step out of their comfort zones and address the public. The Government has been making significant progress, but it’s up to the ministers to communicate these efforts more effectively,” Onanuga added.
