President Tinubu Congratulates Donald Trump On Re-Election, Anticipates Closer Economic Ties Between US, Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on his official X handle @aonanuga1956, Tinubu expressed optimism about enhancing the partnership between Nigeria and the US.
Tinubu highlighted the shared goals of promoting economic cooperation, advancing peace, and addressing global challenges.
"Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens," he stated, noting that Trump’s victory reflects the trust Americans have placed in his leadership.
According to Onanuga, Tinubu believes Trump’s prior experience as the 45th president will help create new, mutually beneficial opportunities for economic and development collaboration between Africa and the United States.
