Greater Lagos Projects: Sanwo-olu Secures Significant Investments for Purple Rail, Meets Lagos Medi-Park Village Investors

In continuation of his THEMES Plus agenda for a greater Lagos, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu has secured significant foreign investments in the Purple Rail and 120-bed Tertiary Healthcare facility Medi-Park Village projects.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the Lagos state Governor in separate but related moves over the last weekend, secured substantial investments in the 60km Lagos Purple Rail project via the African Development Bank(ADB) on the one hand.
OTN News further reports that Mr.Sanwo-olu, in another instance, announced his meeting with the promoters of the Lagos Medi-Park at the Africa Investment Forum in Rabat, Morroco.
Sanwo-olu, who took to his official x handle @ jidesanwoolu announced that Lagos state government has secured significant funding commitments through ADB for the Purple Rail Line project, a 60 km electrified rail system comprising 16 stations, which will seamlessly integrate into existing metro e and bus services to enhance connectivity, serving over 300,000 passengers daily, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Lagos state.
The Governor who shared the investment strategy of the PRL project with international investors equally announced that the Purple Rail line is designed to run through Redemption camp, Mowe, Long Bridge, Isheri, Toll Gate, Omole, Ogba, Agege, Iyana Ipaja,Isheri Olofin, Igando, Iba, Estate LASU, Okokonaiko and Ojo.
On the proposed Lagos Medi-Park Village project, Sanwo-olu revealed that "This partnership with the IASO Consortium will deliver a 120-bed tertiary healthcare facility on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. The Medi-Park will feature state-of-the-art diagnostic and specialized healthcare services, aiming to minimize medical tourism and provide Lagosians with access to world-class medical care in their own city.
Meanwhile, OTN News reports that the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, also revealed over the weekend that the
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced massive commissioning and handover of infrastructural Projects throughout the new week to Lagosians in different parts of the State.
According to him, "Mr Governor made this announcement at the Symbolic Public Presentation of Cheques to Beneficiaries Compensated for Lands Acquired by the State Government earlier last week.
