OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that amid health speculation circulating online, a retired nurse identified as @Jenny86753, has sparked concern among fans of Nigerian gospel music minister, Nathaniel Bassey, after she made a post suggesting that the popular singer might be battling health challenges while he is doing the Hallelujah Challenge.
OTN News further reports that the retired nurse who stated this on her X handle (formerly Twitter), called for prayers on his behalf.
According to her, “pray for Nathaniel Bassey. It is obvious that he is sick while he is doing the Hallelujah Challenge. But he is pressing on in victory. In Jesus’ Name! Amen.”
OTN News observes that this development comes shortly after the singer publicly revealed that his wife had suffered five miscarriages before successfully welcoming their children a revelation he made during the ongoing Hallelujah Challenge, an annual online worship event he leads.
Subsequently, in a follow-up post, the retired nurse thanked those who responded to her initial message and reiterated her faith that the singer would appreciate the collective prayers of fellow Christians.
“Thank you for all your responses in praying for Nathaniel Bassey. I just know he will appreciate his brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ holding him up in prayer as he continues the Hallelujah Challenge. He is a blessing to the world,” she added.
OTN News further observes that the posts quickly gained traction across social media, with fans expressing mixed feelings some expressing worry and others offering prayers for the acclaimed worship leader.
As of now, Nathaniel Bassey has not responded to the viral claims or addressed any issues regarding his health.
