As part of efforts geared towards deploying the instrumentality of music and the media to add significant value to the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Ogun state, Abeokuta-based multi-talented broadcaster and music artiste, Ambassador Olufemi Orunsola is poised to lead a team of creatives to partner with the state government towards the celebration.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the entertainment desk of the media outfit led by its Creative Team Lead, Ambassador Olufemi Orunsola, who is known for dropping evergreen hit singles such as the popular "NAIJA FLAG FLYING" national unity song and "KO GBA GIDIGBO", an anti-election violence song that enjoyed massive airplay on radio and television stations during the 2019 and 2023 general elections, is now set to launch another banger focused on the Golden Jubilee anniversary of Ogun state after finalising arrangements with the state government.
A statement released by the Artiste Manager, Mr. Tunde Adeojo says Ambassador Orunsola, staged named Awe, has already swung into his self-styled creative action with the composition and production of a upbeat, rhythmic and melodious Demo version of the Golden Jubilee Anniversary theme song for the Gateway state, and would be paying a courtesy visit to the office of the Chief of Staff, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo at his Oke-Mosan office on Monday, January 19, to intimate the state government with the new creative move and other related creative initiatives from the stable of OTN News.
He also noted that the 50th Anniversary of the Gateway State, known for its many firsts in Nigeria and the parade of a galaxy of high-networth individuals and achievers cutting across virtually all spheres of human endeavours, is truly worthy of celebration in a grand style.
While calling on all citizens and residents of the state to contribute towards making the celebration colourful and memorable, Awe stressed that no stone will be left unturned to add value to the Golden Jubilee celebration on his own part and by his primary spheres of influence- the media and music.
Awe, whose first hit single tagged "EDUMARE DON BLESS ME," was released in 2010 and has continued to enjoy airplay on both local radio and television stations in the state, recently dropped Egba Carol- a creative freestyle of the "Long Time Ago in Bethlehem" popular Christmas carol song delivered in his typical Egba Rap style.
Over the years, Awe has earned a reputation for composing and producing multiple social mobilization songs on topical societal issues as well as several winsome election campaign songs for major political aspirants in Ogun state and beyond, including the incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.
