OGSIEC Set to Commence Screening of Candidates For Local Government Elections in Ogun

Ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections in Ogun State, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced the screening dates for Councillorship and Chairmanship candidates, set for Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 10, 2024.

OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, stated that all political parties must present their candidates for screening at the Commission’s headquarters, next to the Bureau of Lands and Survey, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, at 10:00 am each day.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News revealed that for facilitating a smooth screening process, candidates should:

- Confirm their scheduled screening date with their respective party secretariats

- Bring original credentials and all required statutory documents for verification

This announcement represents an important step toward ensuring free and fair elections in Ogun State.
