The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide has again put the name of the country Nigeria in the news for one of the right reasons as the Church’s choir group, MFM Mountain Top Chorale,has won a gold medal at the World Choir Games 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija reports that the World Choir Games 2024 which is dubbed the Olympics of Choral Music in its own class, is a prestigious international competition that celebrates the rich tapestry of choral music from around the globe.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija gathered from the official website of the World Choir Games 2024 that this year’s event , being the 13th edition of the games, "had more than 11,000 singers from over 30 countries in Auckland for “the largest choral competition and festival on the planet.”
OPEN TELEVISION Naija further reports that a visibly elated General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire Ministries Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya has taken to the social media to express his utmost pride and delight on Facebook,giving glory to God for the opportunity the church's choir had to represent Nigeria and showcase both indigenous music and his own compositions.
"It's fantastic to see the MFM Mountain Top Chorale representing Nigeria at the 2024 World Choir Games, showcasing indigenous music and original compositions", Dr. Olukoya said.
The city of Auckland in New Zealand played host to the world's largest choir competition in July 2024. New Zealand is renowned for its manaakitanga,its warm welcome, and hospitality, which was the hallmark of the 13th World Choir Games.
The World Choir Games, formerly known as Choir Olympics, is a renowned international competition that celebrates the diversity of choral music and fosters global harmony through song.

C22 – Spiritual and earned 83.38 points, awarding a GOLD MEDA, the organisers said.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija further recalls that the MFM Choir had won medals in previous World Choir Games such as the 2018 games that held in Tshwane, South Africa, where it won a gold medal and two silver medals.
Meanwhile, the Primanavia Fiji choir achieved a resounding victory, earning a gold medal in the 'Folklore and Indigenous Music with Choreography category' at the 13th World Choir Games in Auckland.
Meanwhile, the curtains have been drawn on the Auckland World Choir Games on Saturday.
