New Music Alert: Awe Drops Egba Carol Hit Single

By: Israel Adeleke

Christmas in Abeokuta and for Egba people, and lovers of native feels across the globe has just received a new lease of creative flavour as self-style, multi-talented Abeokuta-based music artiste, Awe just dropped his freestyle single version of one of the most melodious Christmas carol songs of all times, the "Long Time Ago in Bethlehem" song in his own typical Egba dialect promoting manner."

Making this development known to OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News, the Artiste Management Team Lead, Mr. Tunde Adeojo quizzed, "Imagine a Christmas Carol song rendition that combines the far Western style beats, percussions, and melody with the African talking drum sequences!"

Adeojo further pointed out that, "This new Christmas-centric song originally written, composed and arranged by Awe, with its upbeat trado modern rhythm, promises to become the toasts of church choirs in Abeokuta and beyond as the Christmas message remains unmistakably projected throughout the lyrics of the song joyously delivered with a light tone of comedy."

He further affirmed that, "No doubt, Olufemi Orunsola has just made a loud creative statement that he is one Nigerian creative artiste in a class of his own, whom the music industry in Nigeria can not ignore!

Music lovers are therefore encouraged to download the latest Christmas hit single EGBA CAROL via this link attached here:

Speaking with OTN News Entertainment desk, Olufemi Orunsola simply pleads, "Please keep streaming and sharing with your friends, (foes too!), family, and acquittances to spread the message, essence, and spirit of the Christmas season."

It would be recalled that Awe, otherwise known as OmobaOrun in the earliest days of his musical career earned himself a global reputation as an Egba Rapper way back in 2009 when he released his first single, "Edumare Don Bless Me", a song in which he specifically thrills listeners with his unusual flair for delivering rap flows in Egba dialect.

He has over the years dropped hit singles focused on topical areas of national life such as NAIJA FLAG FLYING, a national unity, peace and justice promotion single that has enjoyed massive airplays on radio stations and television stations across the country till date, as well as his anti-election-violence hit single tagged KO GBA GIDIGBO which keeps attracting massive airplays during electioneering season in the country.
