The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled the proposed Lagos Central Food Security Systems and Logistics Hub, located in Ketu-Ereyun, Epe, Lagos, noting that it is poised to be the largest facility of its type in Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to the governor of the aquatic state dubbed Nigeria's "Centre of Excellence," who took to his official X handle,@jidesanwoolu uploading a short but breathtaking drobe video of the massive project, he posted,
"This project serves as the foundation for the 5-Year Agricultural & Food Systems Road Map (2021-2025), which we launched in April 2021 and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025".
Mr.Babajide had posted, "Today, I paid a working visit to the ongoing Lagos Central Food Security Systems and Logistics Hub at Ketu-Ereyun, Epe, Lagos.
This hub will be the largest of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa, aimed at regulating food production, providing massive storage, ensuring food preservation, controlling food prices, and so much more"
Amid the biting hunger that pervades Nigeria as a country, OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News has thought it prudent to profile some reactions of Netizens to the announcement of the Lagos Central Food Security project by Mr.Sanwo-olu.
A netizen, Scheduled Nwali @ucnwali responded this way, "Lagos is a top place, but if you're looking for an alternative to the high standard of living of Eko, looking towards Enugu is the best option...."
Kamoru Babatunde posted, "Mr. Governor, my governor thank you for all the good work, Lagos will always be Great", he then concludes with a rhetorical question, "Why will I not love ❤️ Lagos… Eko ????????????" he said, ading Emojis of 100% love his post.
Truth Matters, @Truthzon threw words at non-performing ogivernors in Nigeria, saying, "My governor is futuristic in his thinking. He's planning to solve the crisis that will arise soon. Governance is about solving serious issues, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the probable outcomes. Your governor is dancing around after receiving state allocation from Abuja, while some are getting married to their 3rd and 4th wives. At the same time, some changed theirs to dollars and bought houses in Dubai. May SanwoEko continue to succeed!"
John, @ImaredonJ, Wrote "Thank you Governor Sanwo olu for this laudable project"
Lending personal credence to the viability of the project, one Jide Brown who appears to be an Engineer affirmed, "Yes, I was at the site up till Fri 29/11 to activate the Weighbridge. It was a success. Thanks my gov for this laudable project. We can only testify to Lagos moving faster than the bullet!"
Herospk, @herospk wrote "Well done sir, however we need a policy that will protect the facility for future generation, so that it will not end up like ketu-ikosi market(from Friut Mkt to shopping complex), Posing a threat to the chain of Agricultural market CAP. To Lagos in particular and SW in general."
Smart Benson, @smartbenson1 wrote "Kindly help us fix the mainland roads sir specially alimosho axis which has the highest local govt , you also deserve the kudos ????just like the previous govt fashola and Ambode who did their part as well…"
