Popular actor Yul Edochie has attracted bashes from Netizens for urging Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu amid calls for protests against the government.
OPEN TELEVISION Naija reports that Edochie, a strong supporter of Tinubu during his presidential campaign, assured that the President is attentive and working hard to address the issues. He conveyed this message via his Instagram account on Friday.
“I acknowledge the hardships, but protest is not the answer,” he wrote.
“People exploit protests to loot shops, destroy properties, and harm innocent Nigerians who are already suffering. Ultimately, the purpose of the protest is lost. Remember what happened during End Sars.”
“Protest is not the solution, let’s be patient, continue speaking out, and do all we can to assist.
President Tinubu listens and he is striving to rectify the situation."Fellow Nigerians, let’s be patient,” Edochie urged.
However, OPEN TELEVISION Naija gathered that Edochie's call for patience was met with significant backlash from his followers, who disagreed with his statements.
Many of the Netizens have posted unprintable comments in reaction to Yul Efochie's post.
