Abiodun Lasile Emerges New Ogun ANA Chairman, Pledges Inclusive Leadership

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Ogun State Chapter, has elected new executive members to pilot its affairs for the next two years, with the Orunto of Owu Kingdom, Chief Abiodun Oladimeji Lasile, emerging as the Chairman.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the election, which held during the association’s November monthly meeting at the Simeon Adebo Library in Abeokuta, where Pastor Dare Folarin was elected as Vice Chairman while Mr. Matthew Simpa emerged the new General Secretary.
OTN News further reports that other newly elected officers of the Association include: Mr. Gbenga Ogunsola as Treasurer, Samuel Ogunyinka as Public Relations Officer, and Akinyemi Makinde as Assistant Secretary.
The newly elected executives are expected to be sworn in at the December monthly meeting, scheduled to take place at the Olowu Palace, Abeokuta.
Speaking during his acceptance speech, Chief Abiodun Lasile promised an inclusive and progressive leadership that would reposition the association for growth, development, and exposure.
In his words, “My vision for ANA Ogun is built on three strong pillars, growth, development, and exposure. We shall focus on initiatives, accountability, and member empowerment through training, workshops, and partnerships with government and private bodies.”
The new Chairman, who is also the Founder and Coordinator of The SixthSense Initiative and Sixth Sense Series Publications, reaffirmed his commitment to promoting reading culture and supporting emerging writers across Ogun State.
“As writers, we have a duty to nurture creativity and inspire excellence. My administration will ensure that members are not only recognized but also empowered through skill development and mentorship opportunities,” he stated.
Lasile, a respected author and community leader, further emphasized that his leadership would uphold the ideals of the association while sustaining its reputation as a hub for literary excellence.
He added, “Together, we embark on this journey for the greater good of ANA Ogun. I am seeking everyone’s collaboration to move our association forward. As a servant-leader, I pledge to serve with dedication, transparency, and integrity.”
