The Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Arc Dr.Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso has expressed his appreciation to the Ogun state government for giving him an enabling opportunity to lead the Polytechnic, his alma mater, noting that the success recorded by his administration within the first year in office can only be attributed to God and the can-do spirit of the entire staff of the Polytechnic and its Alumni spread across the globe.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Arc. Jolaoso made this known during a special live broadcast on MAPOLY RAADIO 99.7 FM Ojere on Wednesday afternoon, where he fielded questions from the MAPOLY Radio crew.

The Rector, who arrived at MAPOLY Radio studio in the company of the Deputy Rector, Dr.Mrs. Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda, the Protocols & Public Relations team of the Polytechnic and other top administrative staff of the Polytechnic, appealed to all Alumni members of the Polytechnic spread across the world to come and join other well-meaning, high networth Alumni members to take ownership of the Repositioning agenda of his administration for the Polytechnic

Reflecting on his most memorable moment in office within the first year in office, Arc. Dr Jolaoso noted that the successful hosting of the 15th combined convocation of the Polytechnic, which combined no fewer than nine consecutive academic sessions, gave him tremendous joy and fulfilment.

The Rector, who had earlier rolled out a catalogue of achievements of his administration within the last one year, noted that although finance has been a major challenge faced by his administration, he firmly believes that the challenge is surmountable as long as all critical stakeholders of the Polytechnic play their individual roles towards moving the institution to enviable heights.

Jolaoso stressed that the future looks brighter for the 46-year state-owned Polytechnic as his administration remains to staff welfare, quality education for students, pledging to continue  rolling out policies targeted at achieving the repositioning agenda.

Arc Jolaoso also hinted that effective from the year 2026, the Polytechnic will host an annual Staff Sports Festival, among other initiatives to be introduced by his administration under the watchful eyes of the performing, recently re-constituted Governing Council of the Polytechnic led by Emeritus Prof Kamaldeen Balogun.
