MAPOLY Jubilates As Dapo Abiodun Makes Good Light Up MAPOLY Promise, Delivers Two Transformers

Jubilations and heaving of sighs of reliefs have taken over the mood of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, as the state-owned Polytechnic records another milestone achievement under the Arc. Dr. ’Koye Jolaoso-led Management, who took delivery of two transformers from the Ogun state government.
According to the Head, Public Relations and Protocols Unit of the Polytechnic, Mr. Yemi Ajibola, who made the development known, it will go a long way to alleviate the long-standing challenge of inadequate power supply in the Polytechnic.
In a press statement released and signed by the institution's spokesperson and sighted by OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News, "The intervention is in fulfillment of the promise made by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, to support the institution in reclaiming its pride of place in the comity of polytechnics in Nigeria."
Mr. Ajibola further revealed that "The two transformers, with capacities of *500KVA/.415KV and 300KVA/.415KV*, will significantly boost power supply across the Polytechnic once they are fully commissioned."
"On behalf of the Management, staff, and students, the Rector expressed profound appreciation to the Governor for his unflinching support to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta," he added.
The Rector, while expressing the institution's determination to deliver quality in its mandate of technology and innovation, further pledged that the institution will continue to justify this kind gesture, not only as evidence of the dividends of democracy, but also as a demonstration of a promise made and a promise kept, in line with the vision of “building our future together."
Ajibola who recalled that during a stakeholders’ engagement, the Management met with officials of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), who gave assurances to inspect, recommend, and proffer lasting solutions to the epileptic power supply situation in the Polytechnic.
Meanwhile, appreciation notes have started to pour in to the Ogun State Governor from critical stakeholders within the campus community as students as well as staff praise the Ogun state governor for fulfilling his promise.
In an exclusive interview with OTN News, the General Manager of MAPOLY Radio 99.7 FM, Deacon Kunle Oluwusi expressed delight in the development, noting that when the light up MAPOLY project is fully in place, the Campus Radio will be empowered to increase its broadcast hours, delivering longer and richer educational broadcasting services to the campus community and its host community.
