OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the Katsina State Hisbah Board has ordered the closure of all nightclub activities across the state, citing the need to uphold Islamic values, morality, and public security.

OTN News further reports that the Hisbah Commander-General, Dr. Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar) who announced the ban in a statement issued earlier this week, said that the directive is part of efforts to curb immoral practices and ensure societal discipline.

According to him, “this decision is in line with our commitment to building a morally upright society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State."

Furthermore, he warned nightclub owners to comply immediately, stressing that violators would face strict penalties.

Subsequently Usman disclosed that security agencies have been instructed to enforce the ban to ensure full compliance.

The Hisbah chief , however, noted that the board had informed the Commissioner for Internal Security and other relevant agencies about the decision, adding that the move aligns with broader efforts to ensure that residents conduct their lives in accordance with religious and ethical standards.
