"I Started Cutting Davido’s Hair at 12 - He Paid N200 Back Then, Now He Pays N2 Million" Nigerian Celibrity Barber Reveals

Popular Nigerian celebrity barber, Kufre Nnah has shared the inspiring story of his long-standing relationship with music superstar Davido.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Kufre, who is the founder of Kayzplace Barbershop, a frontline  grooming brand with branches across Lagos, made this known over the weekend.

In a heartfelt post on his official Instagram handle @ kayzplace, sighted by OTN News, Kufre wrote, “I started cutting Davido’s hair when he was just 12 years old. He used to pay me 200 Naira back then."

He continued his inspiring post, saying, "Now, over a decade later, Kufre charges as much as 2 million Naira per haircut, marking a major transformation in his career. “What a journey,” he wrote. “So proud to have been part of his story from the beginning.”

OTN News gathered that the celebrity barber started out in Lagos with just ₦5,000 and, through dedication and skill, has built a business brand trusted by celebrities like Wizkid, Don Jazzy, and Burna Boy.

He added, “Big thanks to you, brother, for trusting me all these years. Your success is truly inspiring.”
