Another Airport Drama: Passenger Assaults Air Hostess, Forced Out of Aircraft

Some days after, popular Fuji musician, KWAM1 was handed a six-month no-fligjt ban over his flight disruptive altercation with staff and crew of ValueJet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, another viral video of a female passenger in altercation with an ait hostess has hit the social media in Nigeria.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the setting of the new airport drama that took place on Sunday is the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, while the new dramatic personae, simply identified as a female passenger, was seen assaulting an air hostess and clashing with airport security.

From the new viral video, OTN News gathered that the incident happened on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos, of which the female passenger is also seen clashing with airport security before she was 'whisked away' in a bus.

The NCAA has, therefore, reminded travellers that they have responsibilities, not just rights.

OTN News observes that the latest developments in local flights have forced critical stakeholders in aviation in Nigeria to start considering conversations focused on whether airlines should adopt a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive passengers with more stringent measures put in place against flight disruptions and unruly behaviours.
