OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Ltd. has announced the early closure of all its branches across Nigeria on Monday, June 30, 2025, to conduct its scheduled half-year financial audit.
OTN News further reports that the bank who disclosed this in an email circulated to customers on Saturday, stated that the temporary adjustment in operating hours is necessary to facilitate internal audit procedures.
“Please be informed that our branches nationwide will close to customers early on Monday, June 30, 2025, for our half-year audit,” the bank said.
According to the notice, GTBank branches outside Lagos (referred to as upcountry branches) will close at 2:00 p.m., while those within Lagos will close at 3:00 p.m.
The bank encouraged customers to use its alternative channels for transactions during the brief disruption.
“We kindly advise you to make use of our digital banking platforms, which remain accessible 24/7,” the message added.
GTBank, however, assured its customers that regular banking hours will resume nationwide on Tuesday, July 1. The bank also expressed appreciation for customers' understanding and continued support during the temporary schedule change.
