Funke Akindele Empowers 175 Crew Members Ahead of 'Everybody Loves Jenifa' December Film Release

Renowned Nigerian actress and box office record breaker, Funke Akindele, has expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the team behind her forthcoming film, "Everybody Loves Jenifa." with an empowerment initiative for no fewer than 175 crew members 

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered through the official instagram account posts of Jenifa that the actress took pride in revealing that the new movie in question was fully self-funded, showcasing her personal investment in the project.

She emphasized her gratitude for being able to provide employment and a platform for the talented crew, of which 95% were young individuals eager to demonstrate their skills in filmmaking. 

Akindele's commitment to empowering the youth shines through as she celebrates their accomplishments.

OTN News gathered that a standout aspect of the production was the successful collaboration between Nigerian and Ghanaian crew members. 

Akindele expressed admiration for how both teams worked harmoniously to create something special. Their teamwork, she noted, played a key role in the project’s success and underscored the power of cross-border collaboration in the film industry.

Beyond her appreciation for the crew’s effort, Akindele reiterated her larger goal of uplifting the next generation of filmmakers.
