Follow Up: Senator Ned Nwoko Finally Breaks Silence, Amid Regina Daniels Abuse Allegations

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that amid the ongoing controversy, the Nigerian Senator, Ned Nwoko, has finally come out to address the recent allegations of domestic abuse made by his wife, Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, blaming her alleged substance abuse for the marital crisis.
OTN News further reports as gathered that, the senator in a statement released on Sunday, October 19, 2025, claimed that Daniels’ drug and alcohol use has led to violent and erratic behavior at home.
According to him, Regina Daniels, slapped three domestic staff members, destroyed property including cars and windows, and even threatened to kill their resident nurse after she reportedly exposed Daniels’ substance abuse.
OTN News observes that Nwoko, who stated that he urged Daniels to enter a rehabilitation facility either in Asokoro, Abuja, or abroad in Jordan, where she would not have access to drugs, claimed that she refused and relocated to a place where she could continue using substances.
OTN News had earlier reported that a video which has since gone viral, was seen in which Daniels appeared distressed, claiming she was experiencing abuse in her marriage.
In the video, her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman's voiced could be hard mounting support for Daniels on social media, accusing Nwoko of physical assault and vowing to defend her.
However, OTN News further observes that as of now, Daniels has not publicly responded to her husband’s latest statements as the situation has sparked widespread discussion on social media and in news circles about domestic abuse, marital disputes, and the pressures of life in the public eye.
