DoIt Services Nigeria Honours MAPCED Director, Coordinators, Administrative Officer with Industry Supportive Appreciation Awards

A front line educational capacity development firm focused on Entrepreneurship, DOIT Services Nigeria, has honoured top members of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MAPCED) in recognition of the directorate's partnership with industry players and consultants in its efforts geared towards effective delivery of entrepreneurship curriculum in alignment with industry standards.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the brief awards presentation ceremony took place at the office of the Centre Director on Monday when a delegation from DoIt Services Nigeria paid a visit to the Centre.
The Set Man of the Entrepreneurship Consultancy Firm, Mr. Tobi Awaye, made it known to OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News correspondent in am exclusive interview that the Centre has, during the outgoing year, partnered with DOIT Services Nigeria to train over 1,600 female students spread across different departments and fields of study on a MasterCard Foundation and Jobberman Certified 3-Day Entrepreneurship Training.
He explained that the top leadership team members of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic's Entrepreneurship Development Centre were considered for being honoured with the Industry Supportive and Appreciation Award due to their dedication and passionate contributions to entrepreneurship education in Nigeria, embracing new ideas from industry partners like DoIt Services Nigeria and their associate partners such as Jobberman and MasterCard Foundation.
He further noted that such partnership with industry players in training youths, especially female students, on entrepreneurship, is commendable and worthy of recognition.
According to him, the award is "In recognition of the quantum of dedication, hard work and passion put into the hosting of the training programme by the top members of the Directorate."
The recipients of the Industry Supportive and Appreciation Awards are: the Centre Director, Arc.Dr. Olabisi Baiyewu, the Coordinator, Training Extension Services and Consultancy, Mr.Olufemi Orunsola, under whose official portfolio the collaborative training held, the Coordinator, Information Research and Planning, Dr.Mrs. Olufunmilayo Usifoh as well as the Administrative Officer of the Center, Mr.Jide Adeleye.
Speaking on behalf of the Awardees, the Centre Director, Arc. Dr. Olabisi Baiyewu thanked the management of DoIt Services, assuring them that the Centre is open to further partnership with industry players, consultants, entrepreneurship mentors and coaches in the delivery of the practical-oriented curriculum as advanced by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the regulatory body in charge of Polytechnic education, especially its entrepreneurship component, in Nigeria.
"You have our best assurances of future partnerships in the training of our students", Arc. Baiyewu assured.
Mr, Awaye further disclosed that DOIT Services Nigeria cherishes and prioritizes its partnerships with tertiary institutions across Ogun State.
"Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Centre for Entrepreneurship Development stands out in many ways among our partner institutions in Ogun State on account of the volunteering spirit of some students of the Polytechnic who did not only participate in our training programme, but actually volunteered to serve in one capacity or the other during the free 3-day training programme", he said.
OTN News recalls that earlier, DOIT Services Nigeria had openly rewarded a student of the Polytechnic, who volunteered her services during the 3-day training on Entrepreneurship organized for female students if the Polytechnic on the grand finale day of the maiden Made-in-Mapoly Distinguished Entrepreneurs Awards with a cash sum of fifty thousand naira (N50,000).
